SEO - Title Of Each Page
Today, I added a very useful plugin to my blog - SEO Title Tag. This plugin helps me generate more search-engine friendly title for each pages in my blog. It is very easy to apply this plugin into your WordPress. And, you only have to edit your header for the plugin.
Anyway, you all may wonder why this plugin can help to generate search-engine friendly pages. If you are not using WordPress, you can also take a look at this tutorial too. So, now I am going to show you a very brief example here:
Before applying this plugin, you can see that the title of the homepage is definitely not search-engine friendly and not even human-friendly. “Earning Money Blog” - How people got to know from this title? A earning money blog? Every professional blog is earning money and what so special about this blog? ( I admit that this is a very mistake I made when I decided to use “Earning Money Blog” as the title of this blog. ) So, after applying the plugin, the title of the homepage becomes this:
Now, you can understand the purpose of the blog directly from the title - “Earning Money Blog - Earn Money Through Blogging”. So, when Search-Engine crawlers reach your homepage, they will directly search keyword from your title. Then, directly, you can tell the crawlers what your website about.
To do this, you just have to go to “Options” > “SEO Title Tag”. Then, fill in the title you want in “For home page, specify title tag”.
Sometimes, we may neglect the SEO for other pages in our blogs. And, this is actually a big mistake when you just try to optimize the homepage of your blog and neglect the SEO for other pages in your blog. So, you must remember to optimize other pages as well. Now, try to look at my category page:
People or even search-engine crawlers may think that this is one of my post named “Adsense”. But, it is actually a category named “Adsense” in my blog. So, what a big mistake made. After optimizing it with SEO Title Tag, the title becomes this:
Now, the titile is more search-engine friendly. And, readers will know that it is actually showing the archive of the “Adsense” category. SEO Title Tag actually takes the description of each category as the title of the page. So, remember to change your description for every category after applying this plugin.
Then, now take a look at the entry page:
After applying the plugin:
Actually, it depends on you which title you want to use. Some say that the first one - “” is better and some say that the second one - “” is better. Anyway, you still can use back the first one even after applying the plugin. If you find that this tutorial is useful, you can donate to me as my impetus to write more better tutorials.
