If you are a blogger, you should know what is RSS feed. If you do not what is that, you can refer to my previous post which explains RSS in plain English. But, as I know, every blogger is fighting for more and more RSS feed subscribers to his/her blog. It is shame to show only 1-10 RSS feed subscribers in the FeedBurner counter. Anyway, I am one of them. So, I am shame on myself too. I only have 200+ RSS feed subscribers for this blog. Argh~!
Hold on, you may ask me - “What is the point to get so many RSS feed subscribers as long as my blog has high traffic?” Then, you are wrong. Do you know that you can join the FeedBurner advertising program and gain another hundred bucks if you have more than 1000 RSS feed subscribers? Since Earning Money Blog is talking about making money through blogging, I should share these simple tips of me on how to get more RSS feed subscribers to my blog. So, let us work hard together to get over 1000 RSS feed subscribers and join the FeedBurner advertising program.
Make Your RSS Feed Button Pop
Firstly, you must know how to make your RSS feed button pop. I noticed that many blogs use the common RSS feed button for their blog. And, readers like us already get bored to those RSS feed button. We need something different. That’s why I am using a animated RSS feed button in my blog. It is more likely to attract the attention of my readers to subscribe to my RSS feed.
Normal RSS feed button:
Boring…
Instead, you can use many other alternatives feed button like the the world’s biggest RSS button from John Chow. Wow… It looks too big for a blog. But, you can resize it to the size of your sidebar and remember the universal rule - bigger is always the best( more likely to capture your readers attention ).
Attractive RSS feed button:

There are actually a lot of attractive RSS feed buttons around and I promise that I will update some buttons soon.
Educate Your Readers About RSS
Fom the Earning Money Blog’s sidebar, you can see a “What Is RSS?” link just below the RSS feed button. This link will be forwarded to a page to educate my readers what is RSS. And, if you are a blogger, you must at least write a post to educate your readers about RSS and encourage them to subscribe to your RSS feed like what I have done in Earning Money Blog.
RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. Through this technology, readers can subscribe to a blog via their own RSS readers.
For example, everyday, you have to visit your favorite blogs in order to check out their latest posts. But, sometimes, the authors of the blogs probably do not update any new post. This means that you have just wasted your time on doing something that are not productive at all.
But, with the help of RSS, you can subscribe to your favorite blogs through RSS reader. RSS reader helps to pull the content from your favorite blogs and shows them in the reader. Besides, RSS reader will always show the latest post from the blogs you subscribe. Other than that, you can subscribe more than 1 blog in your RSS reader.
This is a short excerpt that you can copy and paste it in your post. And, a linkback to this blog is always welcomed. If you think that this is still not enough to brief your readers. You can use this video example - RSS in Plain English.
